Kasbah Tal’Fin Queer Comic Book

Kasbah Tal’Fin Queer Comic Book marks the first-ever LGBT+ comic book in Moroccan history. It unfolds authentic LGBTQ+ narratives inspired by real-life experiences in the southern regions. Composed in Darija, Kasbah Tal’Fin Queer Comic Book aims to narrate LGBTQ+ stories through positive and inspiring representations of youth and their resilience.

We present to you three distinct, real-life-inspired stories of Moroccan individuals bravely expressing their experiences as members of the LGBT+ community. These narratives delve into the shared challenges they faced, illustrating their achievements and the paths they forged to embrace their identities, freedoms, and lifestyles in a healthy and positive manner.

The stories encapsulate a diverse spectrum of experiences, including that of a queer gay student overcoming adversity from underprivileged backgrounds and a lesbian young woman defying patriarchy by attaining financial independence, paving the way for her to love freely. This visually captivating project sheds light on the realities of being a young queer citizen in Morocco, offering a beacon of hope through the inspiring tales of its characters. Welcome to the first chapter of LGBTQ+ representation in Moroccan comics!
